Hello, I have a ASUS P5N-T Deluxe with a e6850 and 4gig ddr2 1066. I would like to upgrade to 8gig ram, it would cost me around 75$ for the upgrade it. But, should i get a new mobo (ASUS P5G41T-M LX) and put 8gig ddr3 1333 instead for 40$ more? Thank you.
I understand your point alvine. But my point is, I want 8gig ram instead of 4, and for now a don't want to spend 500-1000$ on a new computer. I play BF3 and the game is more stable with 8gig then 4 and the loading screens are much faster. I want to know if the ddr3 worth the 40$ more.

For $40 more, yes - I would upgrade since you're already planning on purchasing a RAM upgrade anyway. DDR3 is cheaper to buy now (supply/demand, more plants actually manufacturing, etc.) so you might as well pull the trigger.
I do also agree that a quad core would give you more benefit than a RAM upgrade. Even the i3s will have better performance for day to day use though I know that wasn't on your list of things to buy. Just food for thought when you're selecting your mobo - here's a combo that would be a good start for a little over $350:
well for the new mobo with ddr3 from ddr2 4 gb to 8 gb ram ddr3 in bf3 was a huge increase get amd new mobo with ram cheap cpu till you can get a fx chip i have fx 6100 and love it also love the obo i just got also
