My first build won't work

Hi -- I'm building the $506 bargain computer from the recommended builds page, with a couple changes:

- I'm using a Geforce 540 GTS graphics card

- I couldn't figure out the third-party heatsink, so I used the one that came with the processor

- On the motherboard there's an opening for a 4-pin power connector to power the processor, but there wasn't any such chord that came with the power supply, so I just left it out.

I've finished building and connecting everything, and no dice. When I power up, the fans all start, then immediately stop, then start again, etc. The screen remains blank. I've tried it without the graphics card, but the same thing happens.

(Also, the case fan connects to 2 chords, a male and female, but there's only a power chord from the PSU for a male.)

Any ideas?

No problem man, I didn't have time to check back last night sorry,
but I'm glad you got sorted out ok, and Thank you for best answer,
hope it all goes well from here mate
P.S. the extra molex on your fan, its so you can connect several fans in series, daisychaining
:)
