Hello,
I just bought a gigabyte ati HD4650 for my workstation, which is a HP xw6000, quite old. I did everything that the manual demands in order to use it, but the display shows nothing - it prints 'no video input, entering sleep mode'. I opened my desktop and I noticed that there is a socket on the bottom of the new graphics card which no one in the manual asks from me to connect! Is it the reason why I have no signal in my display? Or you think its just a matter of incompatibility?

Sounds like the graphics card you installed has a 6-pin power requirement (the socket on the bottom). Since you state that your computer is quite old, I'm guessing there is no PCI-E power cable from your power supply. Did you graphic card come with a Molex to PCI-E adapter (something like this)?
