It's been 2 years since you guys helped me choose parts for my Desktop Gamer and it's still running strong. Now I want to build a mini itx HTPC/light to med gamer. I have some of the parts but will need to build around my cpu mobo combo. (Just returned the Zotac I got on sale. it died.)
So far I have:
i3 2100 socket 1155 (hoping to OC a little)
coolmaster mini itx case w/300 psu
I Want 1 8gb stick of ram (O.C a little when needed)
So my question is and I'm sorry if it's been covered but I couldn't find it, what is the best mini itx mobo for around $125 or less?
I want at least 16gig max memory, No so-dimms,PCI 16x slot, pci 1x might be nice, 6gbs sata x 2, 3gbs sata x 2, usb 3.0 x2 +additional header, usb 2.0 x4+ and addt'l header for 2 more, esata, DVI and HDMI, digital spdif 5 audio ports, wi fi would be nice, and all the other givens. Pleas make your suggestions and give me your criticisms.
I am hoping to keep it around $450.00
BIOSTAR TH61 ITX LGA 1155 Intel H61 HDMI USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
Model #:TH61 ITX
$79.99 @ Newegg
Oooo.... Also suggestions on a lower wattage gpu would be nice..
Please some one has to have an opinion. Everyone was so helpful last time around and their input helped me build a home computer that will last for years. What is your full sized favorite? I was looking for a Gigabyte but cant seem to find one so now I need help.
Best mini atx for you would be the ASRock Z68M-ITX-HT Motherboard, not many mini boards allow you to do much overclocking and are mostly lmimited to 8GB of ram.
I used this mobo for a custom gaming build , it takes 16 GB of ram, has lots of features and also overclocks only via the multiplier , but it will give you great results.
Hvae a search for one as they arent too easy to find, I highly recomend this mobo from experience.
