CPU Temp

I was wondering something about my CPU.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103846

AMD's website says it's temp is suppose to be running at 55-70c, and mine is OC'd to 3.7GHz, and it's temp is 36-40, is it okay if it runs at so low a temp? Even playing black ops it only gets to about 47c. Just wondering if it's okay if it runs as so low a temperature.

P.S. Fail link is fail.. don't know how to get it to work xD

Are you using an aftermarket cooler? Low temps are really no cause for concern, quite the opposite in fact. You could maybe push your OC a bit further.

Nope, stock AMD cooler that came with my CPU
  3. stock cooler is not able to cool the CPU overclock is high, and even sometimes the default is still high,
recommend overclock using the after market cooler like Hyper 212 + with low price high performance. of course you should replace it with an aftermarket cooler and it would be better for the hardware, especially CPU

I don't think I need one.. since OC'd my CPU is running 20 degrees cooler than AMD's website says it's suppose to.
  5. you feel cool with stock cooler, you try to test premises P95 8 hours, or IBT set x20 RAM maximum, and continue to watch how much the maximum that will be generated ..
  6. ^ Agreed. Fire up Prime 95 and place the CPU under constant 100% load over a long period of time.
