Yes, I believe both speeds are the same...

My brother is currently using that card in his rig and his motherboard has 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots and it works great.

It won't be an issue.

If you were to install a PCI-e 2.1 card into a PCI-e 1.0 slot, then you'll have issues.

My mobo has a PCI-e 1.0 slot.

What card are you running at the moment? for $75 you will really like the abilities of the 5670.

45-55 fps

Overall its a good card for the money, especially if your on a budget rig that shows some performance...
