When I play video games in fullscreen mode, the game will start to flash a bit, and than my computer will freeze and pop a bluescreen. I all started bout a week ago, Im not sure what caused it. Ive tried to run system restore to reset te pc to a date where everything was still running fine, but that did not help. Ive also updated, reinstalled the latest drivers, still didnt help...

Operating system: xps630i
Processor: intel core2 quad q9400 @2.66GHz 4(CPU) 2.7ghz
Memory: 3068mb ram
DirectX Version: 10

Device Name: ati radeon hd 3870x2
Driver Version: 8.17.00.10.1063
Driver Date: 5-1-2011
Driver DDI Version: 10.1
DirectDraw Acceleration: enabled
Direct3D Acceleration: enabled
AGP Texture Acceleration:enabled

Ive had this problem for about a week now, been googling for hours, but unable to find a solutions.

windowed mode runs just fine btw

Tnx in advance

Try an older driver, but this time do a clean install of it not just a reinstall. Here is how

1_Download and install "Driver sweeper" from Guru3d.com and install
2_Go to add/remove programs and uninstall the driver and reboot
3_Boot to safe mode and open driver sweeper, then click on ATI and choose clean
4_Reboot and boot normally to windows and install the new drivers after that you need to restart, and its done
