I am having an issue on my HP Pavillion zx5000. When I have the laptop
pluged into the wall with my ac cord. After a while my laptop will
switch from ac power to battery power even though the ac cord is
still plugged into the wall . When I unplug the ac cord from the
laptop and re-plug it in , it returns to ac power. I have to repeat
this process everytime it does it. Can any one help me out. I was
thinking it was my ac power cord. But the ac cord is about 80.00 and
want to make sure it is the root of the problem. Please Help.

Thanks,
conair

the problem is with the socket where you charger plugs into. either the inside neutral plate is out of reach or the whole pin isn't connected or lose. you'll need a specialist to fix that for you. however is rare cases it could be the charger itself.
