Motheerboard dead. have pc card but will not start

I pugged up my motherboard and installed ,memory,cpu and fan,monitor.etc.. but the board does nothing. the fan doesn't even come on. What can I check and how? I've done a visual look at capacitors around the power connector but it looks good. what else can do?

ha, looking at capacitors just at the 24 pin power connector. You need to examine any and all capacitors, as the power would travel all over the board.....but more than likely if your board won't even power on it's "Power Related" So you were smart to look at the Capacitors. A busted/blown out capacitor overlooked from testing.... can mess a build up for the consumer. Now have you checked the rest of your parts?, make sure everything is connected power wise. Also what Power Supply do you have, and other parts do you have?
