Hi There,

Long time WoW Player, among many other games (Crysis/Mass Effect/Metro/etc). recently with the whole Cataclysm launch and ATI Drivers sucking i've found myself at roughly 25-35 FPS on ultra with world of warcraft, which is kind of dissapointing. After the Blue-Screens at idle i had with the last ATI drivers i'm wondering about switching to Nvidia.

I've been looking at the EVGA GTX 570, and I'm getting ready to play RIFT when it is released, looking for some advice.

The Q: Currently having Two 5770's in Crossfire, What would be the best upgrade?

System Information:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit

Intel Core i7 930 @ Stock (Til I get that new Cooler ;o)
Corsair Dominator 6GB Tri-Channel at 1600 MHz
Asus Rampage III Extreme (XFire/SLI in Dual x16)
Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 Crossfire
XFX 950 Watt PSU
Ocz Vertex 2 SSD 60GB in Raid 0 (550mb Read/500 Write ;o)
Velociraptor 300GB in Raid 0 (For other OS)
2TB WD Storage

Playing in 1920 x 1080 on a 24' Samsung

And yes, I know Raid 0 is asking for a drive to fail =P

570 should be good. 5770 cf was between a 5850 and 5870 in performance, and the 570 is about the same as a 480, so it should be a decent enough jump if u can sell ur 5770s. With WoW especially you should have no problem running the game on Ultra with 60+ fps always. You should also spend the 30 bucks on a Cm Hyper 212+ and crank ur CPU to 3.8!

Hi I have a similar system to you with the 5770 cf and going to start playing Rift on the 24th was thinking about upgrading to a evga 570 but I just don't know if i would even see a difference that's worth it plus I heard that the new driver update helps with playing Rift.

You make a very good point when I built my current system nvidia was in a bad place and i couldn't wait any longer he'll i had to go with ati 5770 cf cause I couldn't even get my hands a 5800 seireis card I have always had hate for ati drivers. I checked on toms hardware best video card for the money and they still say go with the ati cards errrrrr. I will only be playing Rift on a consistent basis and I have looked up some info on the Rift forums and people are still bogging down to 20 or so fps in towns and stuff with the nvidia 580 I think the game engine is just bad something. I'm so willing to fork out the bucks for a 570 or 580 I just want to know if I'll see a diffrence worth the money when playing Rift.
