Core2 vs dual core vs celeron processor

Hello,
am Enock i would like to upgrad my Dell Inspiron n5030 from celeron to either a dual core or a core2. However, i dont know which is better. please advice.

In general the core2duo is better than a pentium dual core at the same CPU speed.

On the other hand, upgrading a laptop CPU is seldom worth the time and expense involved.

Laptop upgrades are usually not worth it, as jsc said.

Specifically, what CPU do you have in your computer currently?
