Hey, guys! I just put together a list for my gaming rig. Checked pretty much everything, just need someone to verify everything is compatible and if I can improve anywhere. Thanks in advance!

SSD Is for the OS only; using the 1TB Black as everyday data flow and 2TB green as backup
Also, I didn't add a cooling system in the plan yet, will do so but I'd appreciate recommendations

Believe it or not all under $2,000 (:

More about gaming build compatibility assistance
  1. replace your Mobo, RAM, and CPU. You don't need a 1500W PSU even if you SLI your 560s. a 1500W is for triple SLI of 580s or 590s. You can also get your hard drives cheaper. The Soundblaster is no better than the built-in sound of the MOBO, just drop it outright

    i5-2500K + 8 GB RAM + Free game: $314.98

(this is faster than the kingston for $5 more)

the reduced costs would be enough to go ahead and get a second 560.

To drive a pair of 560s, you need a 650W PSU
This Antec at $79.99 is solid, reliable, and just what you need:

  2. First, Thanks a bunch! That helped a lot, especially my wallet. Second, I incorporated the changes for the motherboard and the CPU bundle, CPU fan, two HDD and PSU. Third, as for the GTX 560 had forgot to mention I already had two included in price, but I decided I'll only get one(second maybe for future upgrade). Also, I completely got rid of the SSD, decided I didn't really need it. As for the sound card, I'm going to keep that(why I got rid of the SSD)

Again, thank you a bunch. Now, my price was at $1977, but now it's at $1410 (:

    It's UNDER 2000!!!!!!!!!
  3. glad to help :)

personally, unless you have incredibly sensitive hearing, you won't notice any difference between the on-board 7.1 surround and the sound blaster. If you're going to be doing studio-level sound processing, I'd keep the SB, otherwise, its pretty pointless.

If you plan to SLI later, do it within 6 months. If you wait a year, there will be a 660 that will be a better choice than a 560.

No one suggests you SLI a 265 now.
  4. wait so your total cost is 1400 with a single 560 and an i5-2500k? you might want to relink your build.
