The Micro-ATX motherboard you've selected will not fit into a case designed for a Mini-ITX motherboard.

hmm, you need a mini-itx mobo to fit in there, and i dont see anyway a 6870 would fit.

I'd prefer the Sugo over the MI008. a 450W PSU by Silverstone is just more reliable than a 275W made by Apex.

the 6870 at a 9.8 to 10 inch card, won't *fit* in the 8.78 inch MI008

hm,any mid range price mobo suggestion?? thanx for the reply!

the power supply i will change to seasonic silence pro 500W so its ok right?

Both of those cases use SFX power supplies (as opposed to the standard ATX). So no, the Seasonic silence pro 500W power supply will not work.

Case: Apex MI 008
Power Supply:Seasonic 450W SFX12V
Motherboard:ASUS P8H61
Processor:Intel CoreI5 2400
RAM:Mushkin DDR3-1333 4GB (2x2GB)
Graphics Card:PowerColor HD5770
Optical Drive:Samsung SATA CD/DVD Burner
Hard Disk Drive:Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB drive

The problems with your selected case are:

1) It only comes with a 250 watt power supply. In order to make it capable for gaming, I added the Seasonic 450W SFX12V PSU; the most wattage I could find in the SFX form factor.
2) That case is that it only has room for a single slot graphics card. Most newer gaming class graphic cards require dual slots for the cooling fan. I went with this PowerColor because the XFX was out of stock.
3) The case has no cooling. It was one side vent opposite of where the graphics card will be placed.

I *REALLY* cannot recommend using this case for a gaming system.

ATM, the best single slot GPU without a hefty premium is the 5770, which fits in the MI008 fine and games moderately well. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

But SFX PSU's max out at 350W and cost $50+, which makes the SG05 is much worth its price ($105shipped @ Amazon http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-SG05B-Mini-ITX-Mother... )

Use this Asus H61 ITX Mobo ($85) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Then drop in this cheap 5850 and you're good to go with a powerful ITX Gaming system: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

How long can you wait? If you can wait a month or so, there's another lower-cost option with Llano hybrid crossfire; performance would be down a bit (Around ~Phenom II X4 955 + HD6790) but you can use a much smaller case and have a smaller footprint/power draw.

i can wait but lowering the perfomance is not my choice.is the configuration the smallest i can get while keeping the perfomance high? or mybe u can recomend me better gpu.also is it posible if i want to do crossfire using the case?i think not...

Crossfire is impossible with ITX.
But if you can handle a slightly bigger case, the SG02 can handle even crossfired 6970s. ($65@Directron http://www.directron.com/sstsg02bf.html?gsear=1)

If height is a priority, the GD05 is another great choice. ($90@Amazon http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Aluminum-Steel-Comput...)

maybe i just stick with single gpu.:)
also,do i really need any heatsink system? or gpu cooler fan? thanx in advance.
April 24, 2011 9:13:02 PM

with the 300W you can't do much OC anyways, so with the stock fan would be enough, just dont expect great temps.-
