can i use any video card or,does it have to -be cross fire X compatable/sLi?
You can put any video card in any motherboard provided that it has the PCIe slot.
If you decide to crossfire then you need two of the same graphics card, or in certain situations two from the same family (5830, 5850, 5870 can be crossfired) but note that if you crossfire two different cards from the same family then the more powerful card will perform at the level of the weaker one. You connect the two cards with your crossfire cable.
Yes, you can, but if you are planning on putting a 8400GT in it, it wont really be good for anything surfing the web and watching hd movies. A CF/SLi mobo is a mobo that supports CF/SLi, but doesn't require it. Go ahead and put in whatever you want besides more than 2 card.
NOTE: SLi requires the same card, where CF only needs one it its family, such as XX30, XX50, XX70, and XX90 can be CF.
