More about finding mobo
  1. What processor model do you have?
  2. I mispoke i have a i3 not a i5 i may upgrade if i need to or just wait till the ivy bridges come out and the 670ti and buy them.

    EVGA 01G-P3-1370-KR GeForce GTX 460
Intel Core i3-2120 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz It is a powerful processor though
    CORSAIR Builder Series CX500 V2 500W

    These are my parts.
  3. I need a new case this is the one i was considering on http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021. Also i need a new monitor a 23 in is fine i was looking at this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021. Also the first link is to only a asrock and not any other ones have you had any good experiences with them i bought one and it arrived doa so i was wondering about other ones.
  4. ASRock has lately been a solid brand. If you want to go with a gigabyte or an asus you will pay a little more for them.

Any of these will be good for you

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007627%20600093976%20600008069&IsNodeId=1&name=Intel%20P43%2fP45%2fP55%2fP67

Gigabyte and Asus and EVGA will be the best brands, although more expenisve.
ASRock and MSI will be next in line
BioStart and the other brands will be last.

Antec cases are well built, just make sure you pick one that is full size ATX

The monitor link you posted is the same as the case.
  5. Heres the actual monitor link it is ASUS VH242H

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052

I will look into the motherboards recommended and post one when i find one and see if it is good.
  6. That is a nice monitor.
  7. okay for mobos i want a z68 chipset so i found these which off these would work ok

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007627%20600158412&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&CompareItemList=280|13-157-271^13-157-271-TS%2C13-131-790^13-131-790-TS%2C13-131-791^13-131-791-TS%2C13-131-792^13-131-792-TS%2C13-157-250^13-157-250-TS
  8. Any of those will work...

I was showing you P67 boards because Z68 is mostly pointless for you. The biggest difference of P67 and Z68 is the onboard graphics that is enabled on Z68. You are running SLI, so there is no point of having onboard graphics.
  9. Okay so of the three chipset h61,z68 and p67 the p67 would run perfect for me okay then i will look into p67 ones and repost. My case is Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower the link wasnt working so i posted the name of it. Also i may get a ivy bridge cpu when they come out if the interest me, what would be a good mobo for them.

Okay i found this mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131701 for 210 would this satisfy my needs. In case the link fails it is a ASUS P8P67 DELUXE (REV 3.0). Also i found asrock ones but they only have 1 pcie 2.0 slots and this one has 2 so this is better.

Yes that would work great for you.

If you want to upgrade to IB in a few months I would look at the Z77 boards that are starting to come out as they will have true PCIe 3.0 support for the new chips.
  11. Okay then i believe i will consider that board use my i3 until it doesnt work as well as it should then upgrade at a later time, then later in the future sli i think my 460 will work perfect for everything. Thanks for the help.
  12. no problem
