More about graphics card working properly
  1. what os are you running?
  2. Did you disable onboard graphics in bios?
    If you didn't the max amount of system ram isn't available.
    Also the norm is 4GB on most rigs these days.
    Ram is cheap right now!

    Onboard graphics is enabled . Even i tried 4gb ram ( borrowing from my friend ) it didn't work out for me :(
  5. I tried out GPU-z utility , it detects my card GTS 450 , but the description doesn't matches actual card's specs.
    ROP's = 1
    Pixel fill rate = 0.8Gpixel/s
    memory size = 0mb
    Directx support = not available
    Shaders = 0 unfilled

    So i thought the GPU isn't working properly . how do i fix this ??

    Previously i had 400 W PSU (4 pin connector ) , but GTS 450 needed 400 W , 6 pin connector . So i purchased 500W i ball spinter(6 pin connector ) , it has +12 V rail and 18 amps current .
    Is this Power not enough for operation of GPU ??
    meanwhile i figured out that GTS 450 needs 22A current , so is this the problem ??
    Should i need to change my PSU again? or can i tweak out something from the existing PSU ?
    If i need to a new one which is the compitable and better PSU under Rs.3K??
  6. have you already connect the 6-pin power connector to the card? if you don't have it you can use the molex which is normally supplied together with the card. regarding you PSU i think you should get something better.
