Adding additional memory

Hello,
Hello, I've got an xfx 790i ultra mobo with 2 sticks of corsair xms3 ram memory installed. recently I bought 2 more, same make and model. installed and booted, I got a C1 code and a long beep that was it. after removing the 2 new sticks and restoring to an earlier point everything was fine....what went wrong? and how do I introduce the 2 new sticks and make it work?

There are different 'revisions' of the XMS3. Try increasing the DRAM Voltage by +0.02v~+0.05v, and the CPU's IMC (QPI/DRAM) by +0.01v.

XFX requires registration to access their manuals and I have no desire to register...

Also, keep each set of XMS3 in it's own 'colored DIMM' slots for best results.

I have 1 and 3 going at the moment, attempting to add 2 and 4 for a total of 8 gigs. I keep coming up with the voltage thing...probably try tomorrow. work 3rd so crashing soon...I'll let ya know and thanx again.
