Does this seem reasonable for a good modern gaming rig? I'm re-using my case/DVD/card reader/monitor/etc.

it is hard to predict of it will still be good for the next 5 years, but for the next 2, 3 years it will be fine and play any game but depending on the speed of games system requirenents improvment you will probably have to upgrade gpu in the next 5 years IMO
