Yeah so i have that board, along with this:
Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit
DirectX Version 11
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz
600 W Power supply
PLenty Of space left
1600x900 Fullscreen
Radeon hd 6870.

Ive been getting fps lag on games i shouldent with these specs, so do you think the mobo is whats causing it? from what ive read its pretty low end.

Pegatron is the OEM division of ASUS.

A motherboard will not make a game lag. What is likely causing your problems is the low clockspeed of your processor. Since you have an OEM ( Dell, HP, ect ) you most likely can not overclock.

Your best bet is a new motherboard, CPU and RAM.

A new board would allow you to overclock your CPU and that would help.

However you would be spending money on obsolete tech and while it would help your problems somewhat, that CPU is just not up to running the latest games at high settings.

You will also need to buy an aftermarket cooler to overclock. Make sure that whatever cooler you get will fit in your case.

My advice is to save your money for a full upgrade.
