i am planning on buying a radeon 6870 sapphire($245.99) and was wondering if any of the other cards listed would be a better choice for my situation. I want to play some of th newer games (bioshock 2, crysis,. far cry 2, starcraft 2 and of course upcoming games like skyrim or guild wars 2). also someoe told me that my CPU woulld bottleneck the 6870 so also wondering about that.

here are my system specs and serial number if someone needs to look it up AM5201-E5621A

Phenom I's aren't the greatest processors...see if you can get a higher clock speed (3.5ghz+). But the 6870 isn't a world-class card and doesn't demand a high-end CPU.

Like shadow187 was saying,if you do have a first generation Phenom i would suggest buying a new CPU.
For about $10 more you can get a way better card.

Also have to make sure your current psu can handle the new card.
What is your current poiwer supply make/model?

An HD6950 (which is your best value) would run just fine off of a 450W Corsair. If you plan on upgrading your motherboard and processor later so you can add another card, then get a 650W.
