I have a older set of 5.1 Logitech speaker and they are great. The surrounds have kinda long wires so I am not sure if you need to extend them. I put my surrounds on the sides aiming in they are not super load so I would not space them real far away as you won't hear them very well. I am sure you can longer wires from Radio shack or online.

use a 3.5mm for for the speakers taht are going to share the same channel.

so for example use 3.5mm for the green jack, for the front and left of the 2.1 and the 5.1

yoou only need to think a little about this, before you realize how simple it actually is.
