GTX 275 Stock VS. GTX 260 Super Overclock

So whats better GTX 275 Stock VS. GTX 260 Super Overclocked? On the box that my Gigabyte GTX 260 Super Overclock it says 4% Better than Stock GTX 275.

My GPU-Z result is on the right and a stock GTX 275 is on left.

More about stock super overclock
  1. run a benchmark with each card, that should tell you, or run fraps during gameplay and see which one yields higher frames, its that simple, I'd guess the gtx 275 by a slim margin but they are likely very similar performance wise
  2. i dont have the gtx 275 atm so thats why im asking you guys
  3. if you dont already have it, then don't buy it, what is your budget? monitors resolution? and full systems specs... I can make a recomendation
  4. yeah if hes thinking of upgrading from the factory oc'ed 260 to a 275 that would be a waste for sure

here is direct comparison. you can dig more into that reviews for more details:

  6. yeah I believe the OP was looking at a superclocked gtx 260 vs 275 though, gtx 460 is def faster than a gtx 275 (at stock in dx10 and 11)

according to the chart GTX460 1GB (reference clock) performs on par with GTX285. so yes GTX4601GB is faster than GTX275. GTX275 is on par with GTX460 768MB. btw op already have Gigabyte GTX260+ SOC which is a slightly faster (i suppose many people won't notice the performance difference) than reference GTX275. so he better keep what he already got instead of replacing his GTX260+ SOC with stock GTX275. IMO he should go straight for HD6970/GTX570 (or even GTX580 if the budget permits) if he really want significant performance boost
