Asus P8Z68-V Pro/Gen 3 with Corsair Vengeance 4 x 4GB DDR3 1600

Hi guys,

I've just built up this rig. I noticed that in the bios, the motherboard is showing the ram as 1333. But i'm sure i bought the 1600 version of those RAM (blue), and their model numbers has 1600 in it.

Do i have to do something with the bios?

Thanks in advance for the help.

  1. For a newly built system, yea. Set the speed/ voltages/ timings to the rated specs.
  2. hmmm... i thought building a computer is easy as PnP. I remember last time, like 5-6 yrs ago, when i was building computers, i don't have to set any of that parameters... oh well...

    thanks.
