Solution
go GTX 460. Do yourself a favor. When you need to SLI you will have enough juice for another year or two without serious upgrading. Get a decent PSU, firstly, then get all the other stuff.

Your power supply sounds janky, no offense lol. You should switch to something more reputable by Seasonic, corsair, or Antec. On the other hand, it should be able to run the 6790 but it will probably die on you. The price of 6790 is close to the 6850.. the 6790 uses more power but offers less performance.

This is good: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371034
You can find the 380W too if you want but 430 will give you more leeway for upgrades.

Sorry but that's a mad idea lol. Those usually comes with weak PSU. It will cost you around 35-45$ to get a decent Antec EarthWatts.. and you should probably opt for a 5770-6770 for around $100. That saves more money than purchasing a single 6790 anyway...

Go look at benchmark for Crysis 2... if 6770 is enough to play MAX setting (you do know there's updates right?) then why does so many people need to buy 250+ GPU just to play games like metro 2033 and yes.. crysis/crysis 2

OOooooh, i get what you're saying yeah. Then would the gtx 560 work then? From what i understand the ti has more cuda cores too. Would that be able to run it dx11 at a passable resolution and on hard core graphics?

Or he can snatch a cheep gtx 460 1gb like me ^^. 6790 is wayyyyy overpriced he should get a 6850 for 130$. I just bought my zotac 460 for the same price as a 6850, but I would'v got the radeon if I new it was better for crossfiring. :(
