Ok, here is my workstation build as it stands. I hope this forum can help me eke out some performance and give the price a shave at the same time. I'm no expert, so please take me to school. I included prices because i am buying locally in beijing, and cost and availability is not the same as newegg, etc. -Thank you for help

about usage: I mostly use rhinoceros, autocad and cs5. I model more than render, but do like to leave one of my viewports on live render. More concerned with responsiveness than with any desire for my rendering to be complete before i've had a chance to refill my coffee. Oh, and i typically have a a handfull of very heavy files/applications open at same time, as my workflow involves alot of importing and exporting and simultaneous use of different software.

Particular Questions:
- General opinion of build performance/compatibility/balance
- single i7+Quadro 2000 vs multiple xeon+Quadro Fx1800
- Advice on cooling. what to use/ will fans be loud as h or not too bad?
- supermicro vs intel mobo for xeon?
- Crucial C300 vs Intel G2 SSD

Thank you for help

Update:

MOBO:
Narrowed down to the SUPERMICRO MBD-X8DAL-i or MBD-X8DAi. DAi has 6 more memory slots and 1 more 32bit PCI slot which i won't miss and also uses the 5520 chipset instead of 5500. Any good reason to opt for 5520 over 5500 chipset?

HDD:
possibily switch to:
WD 600GB 10000 SATA3/32M(WD6000HLHX)

SSD:
switched to Intel G2(80G) then back to the CRUCIAL C300(65G).

FANS/COOLING:
still have no idea what i need.

CPU & GPU:
need some advice
