I have a Toshiba A505-S6967 and yesterday the bottom half of the display got wide vertical stripes. The display had been fine all day, I closed it to take a break and an hour later - BAM! I can't move the mouse in the lower half but the top half is fine. When connected to an external monitor everything is fine. I dug around a bit - the machine uses Intel GMA driver for Mobile and Aero desktop display. ANy thoughts on how to resolve this? Do you think it's a motherboard issue? Can I replace the graphics part without replacing the motherboard.
