Hi

Recently i bought Arctic Freezer 7 Pro rev.2 cooling bundle for my CPU cause standard fan makes way too much noise.
When i opened it i realised shape of mount is square ( holes on plastic bit to screw it to mainboard ). Even tho this item was recomended for AM3 mainboards,
on my mainboards holes are rectangle shaped. Now i tried to search the internet for some sort of other heatsink to match my mainboard but
all i found was square shaped regardless the fact most of ASUS new mainboards has rectangle shaped holes positions >.<

Am i missing something ?

That is how it looks like :
http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/cpu/4/freezer-7-pro-rev.-2.html?c=2181

And the mainboard:

Take a look at difference in mounting holes.

Can anyone help?
Is there any other cooler i can mount on that shape?

For now i'm using original set came with my Phenom II X4 965 BE

Yes you use the clips in the 4th pic on the link you posted

Oh:) didn't think of it when i was looking at those bits in the box, in this case that may have been my lack of imagination and lazyness reading instruction.

I have a question to the way it works. I have big side fan on my left sidewall pushing air in. If i put this arctic cooler inside, working 90 degree against side fan flow.
Would you recommend that?
My airflow goes from left side where fan is to right, all sides apart of the front on my case, has got holes in it.

Other question is, in that heatsink surface which touches the processor and conducting heath, it's actually smaller than processor's. Does it mean it's heat conducting ability are less?

No, turn the cooler around so that it is not fighting the flow of cool air.

What you see as the processor is really the heat spreader for the processor underneath. Your cooler will work fine.

Popatim, would you advise me to turn air flow to the top of the pc or to the bottom ?
If you look at standing pc case ( just to picture it ), big fan camp up with case makes air flow from the left wall to the right
but processor fan will blow from the bottom to the top.

I was planning to put it up and air would exit through the top.

My case looks pretty much like this :

Same fan on the side and holes all around in the case and only front solid.
