Try with only 1 stick of memory, if still nothing then we get serious........

Take the board out of the case, place on a piece of cardboard beside the case with only the CPU/heatsink, video card, and 1 stick of memory installed. Hook up the monitor, Plug in the power leads, and short the power on pins with a jumper for a second, or a small screwdriver and see if it will POST.

Exactly, you could have a short to the case somewhere. Main thing is that if it does not do anything at all out of the case, it is most likely a bad motherboard, if you are certain your psu is good. I always test my builds like this before going to all the trouble to assemble and then find out I have a problem.

no i dont have that hooked up, i hooked it up on the first board i had...when i turned it on for the very 1st time, i had an issue of it powering for 5 seconds and shutting down..so i unplugged the 4-pin power and it didnt do that anymore..after that i have not been pluggin in the 4-pin power.
