Upgrade to i5 2500k?

Is it worth me upgrading to the i5 2500k from the i7 920? Would is see any real time improvement?

The 2500k is clocked 600 MHz higher and averages about 10% faster clock for clock. Noticeable improvement? Maybe...

Unless you are selling your current setup and the difference isn't that much I would say it's a waste of money.

Just overclock your 920? I hear it's easy to get up to 4 GHz.

I agree. At the moment my system can run any game near enough flat out due to my GTX 570 and i7 920 processor.

I don't understand why Intel keep on changing the socket so soon. When I purchased the LGA 1366 motherboard I thou it would be a 5 year socket, but I was totally incorrect.
