Can you upgrade the Mobo in a PreBuilt PC?

My PC although its pretty nice it lacks in the motherboard. I can't overclock anything at all. And I guess it isn't necessary but it wouldn't hurt for it to be better. So before I start searching for new parts I want to know is it even possible to upgrade the motherboard in a Dell XPS 8300? I don't want to buy it and then my computer won't even support it.

You should be able to swap boards, but you will most likely have to re-install a fresh non-OEM version of Windows (after backing up your stuff of course).
