Gigabyte motherboard/ram problems

Hey guys im having trouble with the new system i first built. i have a gigabyte ga-990xa-ud3 motherboard and patriot g2 amd 1600 mhz ram and a fx-4100 cpu.everything on my comp was running for about 4 or 5 days i even updated the bios to f9 with no problems. i noticed my ram was running lower than it was supposed to, so i went into the bios and set the ram up to 1600 mhz and the recemended voltage. now my system wont boot it wont even go into bios. i tried my friends stick of ram as well and still nothing. if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

have you tried pulling the ram out and then moving the cmos jumper to clear??

i do not see a cmos jumper on the board. maybe the battery? ill screw around with this thing tomorrow when i get a bit more light.
