the I3 2100 beats the phenom II X4 955 in gaming even though it dual core. most games dont use more than 3 cores. so do.

if u need the quad core u can get a Phenom II X4 for the same price as the core i3
 
^ I'm just showing you that RTS games do not require quad cores. And in the future, it will not be anytime soon that games will require quad cores. We still have people running x86. It's going to be at least 2-4 years before we will see any quad-core requirement games.
