How do you fix your computer screen when you only see the right half of the desk

When you open up a program you can only see the right side of it and the other side is black , but you can grab hold to the top and drag it to the right and it looks like the window is slidding under the left side that is black . I have never seen this before , can anyone please help, thanks Joe

Either the monitor is messed up or the or the video card or drivers are.

If it's the monitor, try another monitor.

If it's the drivers, boot to safe mode and uninstall what you have, then install new drivers.

If it's the video card, try another video card and see if it's fixed.

If it's not those, then I must be your OS install or maybe a bad cable.

sounds like multiple monitor setup on a single display. Or you switched res from a larger res to a smaller res. You can try switching to a larger resolution, if bystanders tips don't work.

Ok my friend I will check them out , but it looks like my whole desk top is there but looks like it has a black something in front of it cause I can slide it and it goes under the black side , thanks for the info, )
