Computer wont start

My computer will not turn on using the power button on top of the case. I can start it using the power button on the MOBO, I also notice that the case's Lightning bolt LED is no longer lit. Using the MOBO power button it will turn on and run flawless until I turn it off for the night.. This started happening around/after I was having issues with it not picking up my 2nd HD, reading the forums I saw a suggestion to turn on comp, disconect SATA cable from MOBO side hold tower case button to discharge built up energy reconnect and restart. I have no idea if this is related or not but thought I would mention it..

MOBO: P8Z68-V Pro
PSU- Corsair 850w
GPU- GTX 580 SLI (2)
RAM: 16 GB A-Data 1600
OS: Windows 7 64 Bit
HD 1: Corsair Force 3 SSD 240gb
HD 2: 1 TB Hitachi HDD

as you can power and run the comp fine by using the onboard power on button. I would check the power switch and led connection that run from the front pannel to the mb sound like you pulled them off the mb or the front pannel header.
  2. I agree with smorizio, ive actually done this before myself. The little connectors have probably just slipped off when you where unplugging your sata cable.
  3. You can also interchange the power and reset switches and try to boot with the reset switch.
  4. Is there a way to remove this thread? Because not i feel like a complete retard! LOL, thats what it was the plug was knocked partially off the MOBO, pushed it in and it fired right up. Thanks guys
