Hi folks,
I have a sony PCG-GR370 running Windows XP home edition.
Recently, whenever I touch the top part of the LCD, the
whole system freezes. However there won't be such a problem
in the safe mode. Does anybody have experienced this kind
of problem before?

Just off hand you are describing a grounding problem. If you open the
case these is typically an LCD ground strap that is attached to the
chassis. It's a single wire, black usually. You should excercise care
since there is high voltage to the backlight and you do not want to be
part of that circuit if it is the source of the voltage leak. If you go

and find references to joe aka smbios who has a good reputation for vaio
laptop repairs.
