Hello, Thinking about switching to a iMac-27, but want to run Windows 7.
How fast would the Mac be? Gaming?
Are there any benchmarks out there in this configuation?
Can you use a PC keyboard and mouse, I need the right click and delete key.

Just seems that for 2k, you get a great screen, probably at least a $1,100 value.

Thoughts

Apple monitors look better because they are IPS monitors, which go for around $900 for 27" 2560x1440. You can buy a desktop pc for a lower price that has better specs, especially if you're just going to run windows 7 on it.

With the i5 and 5750 you can play most games on high but no aa at that res. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-5770,2446.html A pc with those specs would be around $600 + $900 for monitor(apple display if you want) which is a $500 saving over the Mac. I have nothing against Macs, I work on them all the time, but for a better value I can build a pc and run Mac on it if I wanted to.

Same still applies and if it's only for gaming an i5 performs the same as the i7 as hyperthreading doesn't really affect games. Unless you're doing some heavy multi threaded apps like video editing or rendering, where time is money, then an i7 would be worth it.

An apple display 27" is $940 on amazon, 920 on s&b. A dell ips 27" is $920 on amazon. But this is the best price at 855. These prices include shipping.
