Hi, I'm trying to enable AHCI on my SSD witch in connected to SATA port 1 on my MB. I first changed the registry entry, using a tut i found on MS web page. I then re-booted, entered bios and changed SATA ports 1-4 to AHCI mode. Saved and exited.
The system booted just fine, and i noticed a slight speed boost on my ssd. It also installed MS AHCI drivers.
I left my system on over night, and when i woke up this morning, a message saying: No boot device detected, insert a boot device and restart computer.
I changed back to IDE mode, and the system boots fine.
I then changed in back to AHCI, but when i restart, SATA ports 1-4 is not detected in the BIOS. And system will not boot, displaying the same message as above.
Does anyone know whats wrong?
My rig:
ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB 3
AMD 1055T @ 3,6Ghz
