I have an IBM Thinkpad 770 and it seems the inverter is shot. (No
display). I was given a Thinkpad 600E and the screen works fine. Will
the inverter from the 600E work in the 770? Any suggestions would be
appreciated. Thanks.

If you can't figure out my address from this,
then we probably don't have a lot to talk about:

There's not a lot of user information on the input/output
characteristics of inverters. Your best bet is IBM support or an IBM
parts distributor.
