Here's a pic of my rig. Yes, I know it is a complete mess as far as wiring goes and I probably should clean it up, but I haven't gotten around to it. ;)

    Specs:
    -Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 @ 2.66Ghz (lapped)
    -SpinQ CPU Cooler
    -Intel DP43TF MOBO
    -W7 Pro 64 bit
    -XFX HD5830

    -X-Fi Titanium Pro Sound Card
    -Liteon BD-ROM
    -Phillips DVD/RW
    -V.Raptor 300GB
    -Various Other HDDs

It's outdated of course, but it still runs great. If all goes well, I plan to build a new rig sometime over the summer.

Thanks German, I'm not crazy about the sticker either never even played the game, it was a slightly overclocked model of the 580GTX series from EVGA and I got a good price for it, the case is an Antec 900/2.

The case looks good, and cools good, but is a little tight for my big hands to get around in.

A HAF 932 or 922 can give you a lot of room space for the inside components.
    May 8, 2011 4:24:25 PM

The Antec DF-85, Antec 1200 V3, along with all the Corsair cases are good options.

Just built this about a month ago. Bought a p67 mobo because I plan on getting either a 2500K or some new ivy bridge processor later, and crossfiring the 6850.

Here's a youtube video! Freshly uploaded.

    May 9, 2011 7:50:37 PM

Specs are in Sig. It's over a year old now, with only the video card upgrade from a GTS250 to a GTX460 about 8 month ago. The next upgrade will probably be a SSD, and maybe another GTX460 (I don't play any games that really need more than that, and that should last me until Ivy Bridge upgrade next year).

I have the 230mm fan on the side panel.

I've since updated to a Sandy Bridge i7-2600K, with a Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4 mobo with 16GB (4x4GB) of G.Skill RAM. I also have a HIS HD Radeon 6950 2GB GPU. (Sig isn't updating correctly) The rest is the same.

Nice rig. How quiet is it? I have nearly finished my build in a Corsair 600 T and concentrated on both quite and cool. I modded out the top 200mm fan for 2 X 120 mm fans (going with the Xigmatec Crystal Whites). The top fans give me about 120 cfm as opposed to the 80 cfm of the single 200 mm fan. I also modded out the corsair black rear 120 mm fan for another Xigmatec.

I am waiting on the last piece, the Antec H20 620 to replace my CPU cooler.

I'd be interested in exchanging info on temps and noise when my rig is done.

    That is a bad PSU.

Bad as in terrible or bad as in awesome?

    Addison, you're a terrible PSU.
The silent pros are fine. I think there awesome for being so quiet. Plus pretty efficient.

@aminebouhafs: Another nice system you have... Now we just need some pics to see it in it's glory

Referenced builds were removed, as they were not actual builds but build ideas

The countdown for add another ASUS GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II for SLI has begun, and at the end of the year: SB or SB-E build plus BD build.

@aminebouhafs... Please post your build related questions in an actual post on the forum vs this thread. It is specifically for posting images of current builds. I have removed a few post dealing with your build question.

If you would like, send me a PM and I'll be glad to stop by your thread and add what input I can.

    Best Regards...

That's okay. I allready thought of removing my post the first time I posted here but, once it was posted it wasn't going anywhere.
So, why don't remove all of my posts in this thread?
I'd like that very much. That way I can wipe the slate clean and start from scratch (posting in the right threads).
    Thanx in advance.

The other post has been removed. I thought it was your actual build and the others were ideas :D

I wouldn't advise messing around with OC settings unless you know what you are doing. You could potentially cause damage to your computer. It's somewhat difficult to diagnose OC problems via a forum, but my guess is something in there is overheating(probably your cpu). If your computers components are too hot, they don't work right. Slap a better cooler on it. Also might want to take note, some processors aren't good for overclocking just depends on what you have.

infidus - I5-2500k stock? shame on you for purchasing a 2500k and not OC'ing :) . I wanna see 5.0ghz on air cooling :non:
    June 8, 2011 3:33:13 AM

^ You'll have to get a custom cooler then, and 5ghz is rare, 4.6ghz is more likely but anything more is a lucky chip grade. Not all are made to the same standard.
