hey guys, ive recently been looking at getting another GTX 570. my friend offered me his factory sealed one for $300 which is a steal and am really considering getting it. My concern is that my core i5 750 @ 3.2ghz will bottleneck the system. i run all my games at 1920 x 1080 and as it is now my single GTX 570 maxes ANY game. What im trying to prepare for is BF3, i want to run it and make it look rly nice that day it comes out. The issue is idk how much more hardware im going to need compared to BFBC2.

1156 platforms are often limited but so long that you have have any extra installed cards like USB 3.0, raid cards, or audio cards that are aftermarket then you should be fine. 8x8 pci-e sli/crossfire in a two way setup is enough for the job.

You can run in SLI with that processor just fine. Just make sure your motherboard is SLI-ready and you have enough power.

No need just use a software hack and that is no longer a concern. I used to run two 9800gt in sli on a ati board with no issues.

so far i know the cpu can go to 3.5ghz stable i just put it at 3.2 since it makes more heat for no performance gain. To refrase my power supply is fine, 850W, and my motherboard is fine, Asus Maximus III Formula. Therfore all that remains to threaten sli would be the cpu.

Just go with it, may as well spend that $300 before it is worthless on something that you want.

I had that same exact combo and my 760 would goto 4.4Ghz. What cooler are you using?

prolimatech megahalems, but im not the type of person who maxes out their cpu. im not a hardcore overclocker, and i like to play it safe lol 3.5-3.7 is my max frequency
