Hello guys, I'm planning to buy a soundcard for my PC to listen to music and gaming, but I really don't know what to choose, since I've never did it.

I have a subwoofer and two speakers...

There are some really cheap sound cards (and look very cheap) that support up to 5.1 channel, and others, like the cards from Creative that are much more expensive that supports also 5.1 channel!

I'm comparing like these ones

The price difference is not that much, but here in Brazil, it's actually a lot because of taxes and all these shits!

Do you guys think it's worth to pay more for a sound card like this from creative or because of my sound speakers (2.1) it won't make any difference in the quality?
And yes, I aprecciate a good quality sound

Thanks for the answers!! =)

As I said, prices here in Brazil are ******* high!
The Asus Xonar DG 5.1 is the cheaper from the sound cards you listed.

Costing 28 dolars, converting directly to reais, it should be costing 45 reais in Brazil. But I just looked in a online store, and it costs actually 170 reais, equivalent to 106 dolars!!!

That's what I mean. Everything here is too expensive, and that's why I would like to know if this price difference is worth (between the sound cards I showed you, as an example).

Is this Asus Xonar so much better that jutify the 170 to 20 reais difference for a cheap sound card here in Brazil?

Thanks! =)

Your best option if you can is to look on an international ebay listing, you could probably get one cheaper delivered from the USA. Xonar boards are good I am just about to get the Xonar Essence STX.
