Which is more bang for my buck, 5870 or 6950?

I can get the 5870 card right now for $180 or get the 6950 for around $260.

5870: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102888&cm_re=5870-_-14-102-888-_-Product

6950: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102914&cm_re=6950-_-14-102-914-_-Product

How are they in comparison to each other?

Edit: forgot to add I will be playing games at 1920x1080 resolution.

More about which bang buck 5870 6950
  1. as its cheaper and has more stream processors i would say that get hd 5870 they are quite cheaper nowadays and they are having great performance.you can check out benchmarks here.

  2. For an $80 price difference, I would opt for the HD6950. It unlocks to an HD6970 and will perform better at high-resolutions. Have a look around for some benchmarks! I think there are some on the 'Charts' page here at Tom's Hardware.
