Hello, I am looking at buying a Asus M5A88-M motherboard and AMD FX 4170 quad core processor.
I am torn between the:

Crucial Ballistix 8GB Kit (4GBx2)
Package: Ballistix 240-pin DIMM
Feature: DDR3 PC3-10600
Specs: DDR3 PC3-10600 • 7-7-7-24 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1333 • 1.5V • 512Meg x 64 •

OR

Crucial Ballistix 8GB Kit (4GBx2)
Package: Ballistix 240-pin DIMM
Feature: DDR3 PC3-14900
Specs: DDR3 PC3-14900 • 9-9-9-27 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1866 • 1.5V • 512Meg x 64

Now the AMD FX Series CPU on this motherboard supports up to DDR3 1866MHz as its standard memory frequency but I do not know to go for either the faster CL7 1333 or the higher DDR 1866 CL9 as it is native to the FX chip?

Any help or suggestions would be apprieciated and thankyou

Here's what I use: http://www.fatwallet.com/Newegg-coupons/g-skill-ripjaws-x-series-8gb-2-x-4gb-240-pin-ddr3-sdram-ddr3-1333-pc3-10666-desktop-memory/. The 1866 is faster ram, but only works at the higher speed when overclocking the cpu; don't know how stable it will be when overclocked. You have to experiment with the voltage and ram settings when overclocking. Sometimes you get a complete failure or at the very least, have to reset the bios and start over. If you don't have the patience for it, save some $$ and get the 1333 gskill.

OK well I am not to sure about overclocking it at the moment so if I was to go for the 1333 would it not be better if I got memory with CL of 7 instead of 9?
