CFX Owners: Question about the actual crossfire bridge piece itself...

This is a weird question, I know, but... for those of you who have Crossfire setups, I'm curious about the bridge.

I just got a second GPU and Crossfired myself a few days ago, and when I was putting on the bridge... is it normal for it to make a sort of grindy noise/feel as you put it in? I mean, my performance seems to have about doubled in Crysis (which according to benchmarks means CFX is functioning right), but I just know that as I was putting on the bridge, that weird gritty feeling seemed really weird.

Anyone else get that sort of impression?

This is normal, just the connector pins "gripping" the GPU PCB pins. You are good to go. HOOAH!
  2. Yeah I think that's normal. It loosens up a bit if you reattach it a bunch of times.

I figured it was normal, just kind of found it weird.

Glad to know I wasn't going crazy or putting it on backwards or something.

Understood. Just dry copper sliding against dry copper. Have fun!
