HI ppl can you please help me figure out assemble a computer!!!?
Well these days I'm really getting into the world of sound and video editing. So I want to plan little ahead if I'm buying an assembled PC. I wanna use it for atleast 8yrs from now..
Here's the config. thats in my mind--
Core i5 2400s sandy bridge
AsusP8P67
1TB Hitachi
LED 19" AOC
2x2 GB DDR3 Corsair
The engineer suggested me an Intel 61WWB3 motherboard as it is much cheaper but it has no firewire and USB 3.0.
Can someone please help
THANK YOU :)

do you need firewire and usb3.0? if you do then buy a pci/pci-e card. What is your budget?

i think the cheapest solution would be to buy an h61 with usb3.0, and add in a firewire card (you just shove the card into the pci slot on the mobo, and you have a firewire port in back):

Fill out the form in the sticky, link in my sig. We'll need some basic info such as budget and country.

Also, no PC will last 8 years. That's ancient history in PC terms. 8 years ago we were using Pentium 4's and 50gb was considered a large HD. Now, that's not even large enough for an OS + basic apps.

Especially for video editing, old PC's won't cut it. CS5 for example requires a 64bit OS, something that didn't exist back then, and I don't know of anyone who runs it on a P4 (or would want to for that matter).
