Does the GTX 460 1GB SLI bottleneck at 1600X900 resolution.

Is it better to get a 1920x1080 resolution monitor for the GTX 460 1GB SLI cards or stick on to the 1600x900 monitor itself.

What do you mean by bottleneck, no it wouldn't but GTX460 in SLi could achieve so much greater than 1600x900. What are you planning to do you with you machine?

Absolutely not. The 1gb ram in 99% of the games at any amount of 'playable' AA levels is not a bottleneck.

You can look up gtx 460~768 SLI that performs well in most games at 1080P. 99% of them.
Except in Metro 2033 at some AA levels and Crysis at some levels, settings @1080p.

edit: Now looking at your post, I'm a little confused how your using the term bottleneck, for what your describing. I thought you were asking about frame buffer limitations.

i mean the image quality will be higher at 1920x1080 but if u already have a widescreen monitor that works great and ur happy i see no reason to upgrade now, only if u find ur current monitor is too small for ur needs than u could consider it ;)

What I meant was, will the GTX 460 1gb sli show great performance on a 1600 X 900 monitor or on a 1920x1080 monitor.

Will it show any benefit on 16x9 or 19x10.
