Lenovo startp failure

My parent's 3 year old computer just recently refused to start. it is a lenovo ideacentre k210 and when it turns on it tells me there has been a problem starting and gives the options if starting in safe mode etc. has anyone with a lenovo experienced this before? are their processors/mobos known to quit after a few years? anything you can tell me will be of great help thanks

Have you tried it in safe mode if not if you got an original instillation disk insert it and repair computer if not use start up repair.
