Hello, I have a Gateway NV53 laptop with W7 Ultimate X64 installed and a ATI Radeon HD4200 graphics chipset. I have installed all updates including service pack 1. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it will not play any DVD with HDMI. The movie starts to load then plays for 2 or 3 seconds and my screen goes blank. The only ways to stop it are to eject the disc or unplug the HDMI cable. I had it working fine before. I had it working fine in Ubuntu 10.10 as well (just trying it). I reinstalled windows and now my DVDs will not play over HDMI. I have tried the Combined Community Codec Pack and still nothing. Help! I really like to use this as my media player!

well, I can play DVDs over VGA. You think it could have been that HDMI update in Service Pack1?
