Hi,

A friend has asked me to build him an Intel i7 Sandy Bridge Build using Nvidia 500 series GPU's in a Red / Black theme all inside a CM 690 II Advances chassis.

The parts list for the build is as follows:

Case: CoolerMaster CM690 II Advanced (I will be painting the grill area red as well as the hard drive bays, the optical bay screw less things and the rear expansion slot covers. If anyone can suggest a deep red paint that works great on these materials that would be great.)
MotherBoard : Maximus IV Extreme (I'm pretty sure i can squeeze this mobo into the CM690 although CoolerMaster say the case is only designed for ATX form factor motherboards. Some clarification from anyone who has put an E-ATX board into this case would be greatly appreciated.)
Power Supply: Corsair AX850 Modular PSU
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k (Over clocked to 5GHz)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H70 Hydro
RAM: Probably going to use 8GB of Corsair Dominator GT or Mushkin Redline @ 2000MHz
SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 120GB
HDD: 2x Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB (Raid 0)

Graphics Card: I suggested running 2x EVGA GTX 570 in Sli due to the red colour of the cards, however my friend is skeptical. If anyone could point me to a review that shows how SLI GTX 570 perform against SLI GTX 580 / Single GTX 580 / GTX 590 / SLI GTX 560 Ti i that would help. Also if anyone knows of a manufacture that is making GTX 580 or 590 with a Red, White or Black theme that would help as well.

So to summaries i need information on; Red Paints, E-ATX MoBo's inside a 690 II, graphic card reviews and red/white/black themed GTX 580/590

Thanks,
dsM

Here's a few cases

The first one specifies eATX, might work in all of them though, for instance in here it satets that the AzzaSolano can take eATX.

But check on the manufacturer's sites.

Thanks for the reply. As far as cases go my friend want a 690 II unless the E-ATX mobo will not possibly fit, so im hoping someone has tried it and can give me an answer their.

I like the idea of the red power supply however i'm not to familiar with that brand so ill do a little reading up on that.
Thanks for the links to the reviews ill send them to my mate to read through.

Thanks for the reply.

I did consider both the GIGABYTE and AsRock boards and will probably use the UD7 if i can't squeeze a E-ATX into the 690II.

As for the Gskill RAM its a great suggestion as the price point and colours are awsome.

One more thing whilst i remember, does anyone know of any red tubing for the H70?

Thanks,
dsM
