Headphones cpu but cpu still makes sound

Hello, when i plug my headphones into the cpu so i can be the only one to hear, it never works. its like i can hear through the headphones but i can hear out the cpu at the same time and i tried every possible way of fixing it helllpp

FYI, the CPU is the processor. It is not the computer collectively, nor is it the case. Now... it's possible your sound is not set to mute automatically when headphones are connected. More details would be helpful...
